• Drives the school vehicle and transports authorized passengers such as the school administrators, personnel, teachers, students, or guests on a regular schedule or on special trips as needed by institutional constituents and as specified by requests and trip tickets and / or as directed by superiors during emergencies.
• Checks the operating condition of the school vehicle requested before starting on a trip; maintains transportation unit on a daily basis by checking fuel and oil levels and ensuring the engines, lights, tires, brakes, horns, windshield wiper, and other important vehicle parts are in good working condition.
• Studies routes to destination as well as operative traffic regulations in particular localities to ensure travel efficiency and convenience.
• Submits completed trip tickets to superior upon completion of travel with records of passengers, routes, mileage, travel and waiting time, gasoline consumption, and incidents per trip.
• Cleans vehicle by way regular washing of exterior body, windows, and mirrors, and by vacuuming and dusting interiors.
• Prepares vehicle maintenance service schedule; secures the approval of the superior; implements and keeps records of preventive maintenance activities.
• Recommends requisitions and / or replacement of needed spare parts and automotive accessories.

• Does minor troubleshooting of vehicles and takes corrective action during vehicle malfunction on the road arranges for repair and/or towing service as needed.
• Coordinates for major repairs on vehicles by external service providers on the basis of results of price canvass and superior’s approval; checks whether repairs undertaken meet specifications upon service completion.
• Cleans and maintains automotive tools and equipment to ensure that they are in good working condition.
• Subjects the vehicle to required emission testing and other requirements and undertakes the renewal of vehicle registration; assists in the renewal of automotive insurance coverage.

• Performs messengerial services using the official vehicle of the Institution for the delivery and pick up of documents, packages, and the like to / from addresses and destinations on instances requiring special handling and / or expeditious action.
• Assists in administrative and general services functions when not engaged in driving.
• Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the Immediate Head of from time to time.
